Step 1

2-Hour Consult with Dr. Singla

The

Process

before

Prior to your arrival, Dr. Singla thoroughly reviews records from your primary care provider and sub-specialist(s).

during

In addition to a review of your diagnosis, clinical course, and medications, Dr. Singla takes a deep dive into your current symptoms, and performs a thorough physical exam. She also reviews your nutrition patterns, exercise, sleep, stress, emotional/self-regulation abilities, and social support.

Dr. Singla reviews the diagnosis and expectations of your illness as well as potential complications and side-effects associated with your diagnosis and medications.

After discussion of the diagnosis and treatment goals, a customized Game Plan is crafted blending conventional and complementary therapies. Don't worry, we won't make you do this alone (see Step 2).

Labs are collected in the office. They are billed to your insurance company. If you don't have insurance, we have discounted cash pricing as well.

Orders for appropriate imaging, medications, and referrals are placed. â€‹â€‹

Auricular acupressure is applied as indicated (if desired).

after

Dr. Singla communicates your plan of care with your primary care provider and specialist(s).

Dr. Singla calls you about 2 weeks after the initial consult to discuss lab/imaging results and adjusts the Game Plan/Roadmap as needed. Additional questions are also addressed at this time.

Step 2

Implementing the Roadmap to Remission with a "Rheum-mate"

The treatment plan and overall goals will be mapped out using a customized Roadmap. It will differ from individual to individual, but may include various elements such as:

  • Starting disease or symptom specific medications and supplements

  • Incorporating movement, exercise, or physical therapy

  • Working with our nutritionist to determine the right calorie and macronutrient balance based on your lifestyle and condition.

  • Partnering with our nurse to explore breathwork techniques, meditation, Reiki, or Multi-Vibrational Therapy (MVT).

To help you implement your Roadmap, you work with our "Rheum-mate," or integrative health coach, who works with you (and your family) to provide practical, customized solutions to fit your unique lifestyle, challenges, and schedule. This may include getting guidance on:

  • Meal planning and preparation strategies to reduce flare-ups

  • Strategies to improve sleep quality despite pain

  • Relationship & communication coaching (e.g., setting boundaries, asking for help)

  • Creating a balanced daily routine that prevents burnout

The Roadmap concludes with a follow up visit with Dr. Singla to assess your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

Step 3

Follow-Up Care

Once completing the Roadmap (including the follow up visit with Dr. Singla), you can see her as needed based on your needs.
